Thank you to Dutton Books for sending me a free copy of Into The Black Nowhere in exchange for my honest review, all opinions are my own.
Into the Black Nowhere is the second installment in the Unsub series and I think this book, as well as Unsub, are two of my favorite thrillers of all time…and I love to read thrillers. ITBN is based on the serial killer Ted Bundy and had my heart bumping from the first page to the last! Caitlyn Hendrix is back to investigate the disappearances of five Texas women, all taken in close time and proximity to each other. Now working for the FBI, Caitlyn’s character is developing even more. I love that she is vulnerable and realistic while still being a badass!
The story and plot line and scary enough as they are but Gardiner has a way of writing these stories that keep you on the edge of your seat and flipping pages faster than a speeding bullet. I challenge anyone to read the first four pages and NOT want to read on! I cannot wait for the next installment in this series, I hope I don’t have to wait too long. Meg Gardiner is a new-to-me author who has an Edgar award under her belt as well as twelve, yes TWELVE, other novels. I will definitely be checking some of those out very soon! To put it simply, the Unsub series is a must read, add it to your TRB list right away!
